We are proud to announce that Heather Cooper will be serving as the Resident Designer & Master Artist at stunning Mains Gate, which will serve as our Eastern Shore studio. Mains Gate is a spectacular 150 acre property with a historic mansion, and is our preferred event venue site. From weddings to gatherings, Mains Gate has the space to accommodate all. This property is currently being re-invigorated into a dream venue, Just south of St. Michael's on the Eastern Shore.

MEET THE DESIGNER
Heather Ginger Cooper is a master artist, floral designer, community leader and event producer who has had the pleasure of creating masterpieces in the surrounding neighborhoods of the District of Columbia for 33 years.
Having served as a Resident Artist and Designer for The Executive Residence of The White House and Blair House for 20 years, she has created tablescapes, original custom artwork and faux painting, designed and installed the entire North and South Portico Halloween facades, hand made State Floor focal centerpieces, and has provided decor, design and calligraphy for four administrations, from the smallest dinner party to State Dinners.
She was commissioned to paint President George W. Bush’s 2008 Independence Day Celebration piece, several original pieces of art for the White House Easter Egg Roll Events, and artwork which was handed out to all guests arriving on holiday tours. She was also commissioned to create all 13 replicas of the Obama First Family Dogs, “Bo & Sunny” during the Obama administration, which were featured in The Washington Post and countless publications across the globe, along with the annual “White House Christmas Special” by Home & Garden Television. She was the sole designer and artist who created the infamous White House 2015 Bubble Gum Fairytale Machine, and has designed tablescapes and floral decor for hundreds of events at the White House, Blair House, State Department & elsewhere for four administrations, including The Bush, Obama, Trump & Biden First Families. Additionally, she hand created and designed the floral cascading backdrop wall for the arrival of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada, which proudly stood 18 feet tall behind President Obama and Prime Minister Trudeau in the State Dining Room of the White House during the most honorable State Dinner for Canada.
Additionally, Heather has owned her own dance studio and her own local theatrical group, and has directed & produced dozens of theatrical performances, including ten original plays which she wrote herself for the community, celebrating the development of the moral compass in our youth. She was chairman of The Scottish Christmas Walk in Alexandria, Virginia, and served as Chairman of the Board for the Junior Friends of The Campagna Center, Alexandria’s leading hometown charity. Her pen and ink sketches of hundreds of homes in the Northern Virginia area have been featured on many fashionable home tours. Additionally, her calligraphy for all four Presidents has been sent to hundreds of recipients.
Her masterpieces have been featured on The Today Show, NBC 4, Fox 5, The Tommy Show & HGTV over the years, along with several custom videos on www.whitehouse.gov. She also has been quoted and published in several publications, including “Martha Stewart Living” for her award winning Halloween Decorations, “The Faith of America’s First Ladies”, by Jane Hampton Cook, “A Thousand Points of Light Foundation Goals” by President George H.W. Bush’s Foundation, "Entertaining at the White House" by Jennifer Boswell Pickens, "A Perfect Party" by Bryan Rafanelli and Washingtonian’s "Bride and Groom".
She is a longstanding member of The Blair House, the President’s Guest House, has served as an adult mentor for The Boy Scouts of America, has served in over 25 leadership roles including Lt. Governor for the State of Michigan Key Clubs/Kiwanis, Mortar Board at Michigan State University, Chairman of the Board of the Scottish Christmas Walk, Chairman of the Junior Friends of The Campagna Center, Presidents of both the Golden Key National Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She was honored to be the recipient of the prestigious “Heart of Gold Award”, honoring outstanding community service by the City of Alexandria.
Her greatest joys are the family she was born & married into, the family she chose in her community, the youth she has mentored over the years, her faith in God, and the beautiful falls and walks in her charming hometown of Occoquan, Virginia.
